Hi Pam,

I guess it depends on what industry you're working in. I don't have an official plan, but I do grow my business in phases. Right now, I'm working on self-promotion. Once I started my business, I got all of my clients through referrals. Now, I'm getting choosier about my clients.

I tend to develop in stages without an official plan.

I know folks who create a stunning business plan, sometimes with the help of a coach or accountant, and then never look at it again. I try to look at mine every quarter and as a result my business plan today looks a lot different than it did a couple of years ago, but I also sometimes jump into things and get well into the rabbit hole before I stop to think about how it will impact my business or marketing plan. What's your approach, and what's working well for you? Question
