Welcome to the forum! We are so glad that you have stopped by. Here are a couple of things to consider as you prepare to jump in and get busy adding posts to the various threads.1. SignaturesThe internet loves live links, and so do the bots that follow us all around and see how active that we are. Be sure to set up your Profile, and click on Signature to create something that will show up at the bottom of each post and tell us who you are. My example will appear below. In order for the link to go live, highlight your text, then click the "link" button above, copy your highlighted text into it, give it a label if you like or copy the same info into the label blox and click "OK". THEN you also must click on Preference and select the "Signature Always On" option in order for it to show up under your comments. I know it's a lot of steps, but it'll be worth it!
2. The Business OptionYou'll notice at the top of the screen that it says this is not a place to sell your services directly, which means that direct advertising and the placement of ads has not been set up (although could be in the future). That's just an advertising issue. People active on the forum WILL want to know the type of work that you do and services you offer in order to get to know you better, to learn from you and, possibly to hire you. When you provide an introduction in the Welcome to the Forum area, make sure you tell us what you do, what fascinates you or what you are looking for by coming here, and in what way you would like help for your business if you have one. We'd love to get to know you and afterall, this forum is about networking!
3. Other OptionsWhile you are in your profile, you can add your photo, or select an avatar from the list. Personally I like the photos, but if you haven't got one or are shy, there are plenty of avatar's to choose from.
You can also select the "smilies" option (personally, I love smilies) and click "yes" to receive a newsletter so that when they come out, you'll see a notice in your inbox.
If you have questions or would like more information, please just ask. We're here to serve, and want this forum to be a great way for all of the members to CONNECT.
